Charles T. Meyer
Charles “Charlie” Meyer has nearly two decades of experience litigating high stakes cases for institutional clients. Mr. Meyer has actively litigated and defended clients in multiple areas including automobile accidents, mass torts, including liability matter involving resorts, amusement parks, athletic associations, surety bonds, and construction defect. Regardless of the region or subject matter, Mr. Meyer works tirelessly to advocate for his clients.
During his career, Mr. Meyer has also represented many financial institutions, including some of the largest banks in the world, on hundreds of cases involving actions filed against lenders and mortgage servicers in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. As the head of the defense practice group who oversees hundreds of auto liability matters, Mr. Meyer works to stay ahead of national trends and stays closely in tune with the changes in litigation tactics around the country.
Mr. Meyer received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego. He returned to the University of San Diego School of Law for law school, earning his J.D. in 2007, where he served as an editor for the law school’s International Law Journal. He has also been named to the Super Lawyers: Rising Star list for the years 2014-2017. Mr. Meyer is licensed to practice before all State and Federal Courts in California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada (and is very proud of the fact that he passed three bar exams, thankfully Oregon did not require him to take a fourth bar and allowed him to waive in).
Mr. Meyer was born and raised in Seattle, WA before relocating to California. After a short and unceremonious college baseball career at the University of San Francisco, he completed his undergrad at the University of San Diego where he remains an active alumni and supporter of the University. Mr. Meyer is the son of a trial lawyer and grew up around the legal industry. When not working, Mr. Meyer enjoys playing golf, softball, and spending as much time as possible with his wife Zarah, and two children, Ace and Rose.
Mr. Meyer is licensed to practice before all State and Federal Courts in California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
