Ms. Trotter is a former Deputy City Attorney for the City of Long Beach. She has extensive litigation and trial experience which includes: representing government entities in civil actions, civil rights, employee negligence, personal injuries and public property liability.
Ms. Trotter joined the City Attorney’s Office in 2019. Prior to her employment with the City of Long Beach, Ms. Trotter worked in private practice as a civil litigator for several nationally recognized law firms, and was recognized by her peers as a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2017 and 2018.
Ms. Trotter received her B.A. from Stanford University where she was captain of the Women’s Basketball team, and obtained her degree in International Relations. She received her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law where she was an articles editor for the Pepperdine Law Review, and was a member of the law school’s mock trial team.
