Daniel B. Smith
Mr. Smith received his preparatory education at Missouri State University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law located in Malibu, California, during which time he was a judicial extern with the Hon. Daniel A. Curry of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Santa Monica Courthouse.
Mr. Smith has represented well over a hundred common interest developments/homeowners associations in Orange, Los Angeles, and San
Diego Counties in hundreds of corporate, transactional, and litigation matters, ranging from complex to simple, and involving all size, type, and manner of association clients. Mr. Smith has also successfully litigated and defended tort cases involving governmental and quasi-governmental entities with exposure and amounts in dispute in the millions of dollars, and he has successfully arbitrated, mediated and tried matters to conclusion, resulting in favorable and substantial monetary awards in his clients’ favor.
While litigation is not the only thing he does, it is an aspect of the practice of law that Mr. Smith enjoys tremendously. However, and as his clients are aware, he takes great pride in all aspects of his practice and he is committed to the professional, ethical, creative, and aggressive representation of all his clients.
Mr. Smith is admitted to all California state and federal courts, and he is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Community Association Institute (CAI), and California Association of Community Managers (CACM).
